My top 5 favorite (healthy/low-calorie) desserts!

Happy New Year to all of you! I’m so thankful for all your endless support, feedback, encouragement, ideas and everything! I wish y’all all the best and many blessings for 2019!

For my first 2019 post, I wanted to do something sweet, related to food of course! I was eating an oreo cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory (It was SOOO good) while I was thinking about what I should write for today’s post… And Boom! That’s when it hits me that the post should be about desserts! Everyone love desserts, right? Therefore, why not start 2019 with my top 5 favorite deserts?!

1- Halo Top Ice Cream

Halo Top is definitely my favorite ice cream brand. Not only because it’s the coolest ice cream on the block, but also because of it’s a good source of protein and the pints are only between 280-360 calories. Can you believe that? Yeah I couldn’t believe it at first either. My two favorite flavors are “Sea Salt Caramel” which is only 320 Ca, and “Vanilla bean” which is only 280 Ca!!! Yeah, you read that right! Therefore, if you’re looking for a healthier version of ice cream that tastes good and doesn’t make you feel guilty, I definitely recommend Halo Top!

2- Chocolate cake

If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with chocolate cake, and I don’t even know how to stop or at least slow down this obsession. Baking is not my strongest thing so instead of making my own chocolate cake, I tend to buy it at the grocery store. They have a lot of healthy varieties (such as zucchini chocolate cake, flour less chocolate cake) especially at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods!

3- Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I do not understand why so many people dislike oatmeal raisin cookies! Like seriously! It’s one of the healthiest cookies ever. It’s definitely one of my favorite cookies. This lady at my work usually make me oatmeal raisin cookies and they’re like the best things ever.

4- Banana bread

Another one of my fave! Again, I’m not that good at baking, although I want to try my best baking this year! I tend to eat my banana bread with matcha latte! If you have no idea what matcha latte is, click right here to check my post about the benefits of matcha latte! Also, I always get the banana bread from Trader Joe’s! It’s super yummy!

5- Fruit salad

This one doesn’t involve baking which is why it’s one of my favorites! You can just use a bowl or any deep container, cut up your favorite fruits and add them in the bowl. You can add poppy seed, chia seed or unsweetened coconut flakes, which is totally optional but I highly recommend it… And Voila!!

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Do not hesitate to email me with post ideas and feedback! Also, let me know your favorite dessert in the comments!

Happy New Year!

XoXo!
