I Tried Celery Juice for 7 Days Straight…

If you’ve been keeping it up with social media lately, you’ve probably heard about the new health trend, celery juice and its many benefits. I first read about it on one of my favorite fitness gal’s feed on Instagram. Then I saw it more and more on my feed from yogis, fitness people, youtubers, basically a lot of influencers… Therefore, I started reading a couple post about the famous celery juice, which lead me to the @medicalmedium Instagram page. He’s basically the one who brought celery juice back. Yes, back! Because some articles claim that celery juice was a thing a long long time ago. Anyways, He recommends drinking 16 oz of celery juice first thing every morning for 28 days straight. I saw several testimonies, a lot of before and after pictures of people who’ve been drinking celery juice every morning for weeks/months. So, of course I had to try it!

I was spending a couple days at my mom’s and I told her about the celery juice. I asked her if she wanted to try it with me, of course, my amazing mom said yes! She went to the grocery store, got celery bunches and we made it first thing in the morning. I hated the taste, that was my first impression. I took forever to drink it because I thought it tasted so bad. My mom thought that it wasn’t too bad, she finished hers before I did! Then we did it for a couple more days and I realized that it did not taste that bad afterwards; maybe I’ve gotten used to the taste by then! Shout out to you mommy!

When I went back home, I ran to the grocery store and bought about 6 bunches of celery because I wanted to do it for an entire week without skipping days. I was ready for this!

I highly recommend using a measuring cup to keep track of how much celery juice you are consuming daily. It is recommended to drink 16 oz daily but I usually drink between 12 and 16 oz of celery juice. On day 1, I woke up early, I did my morning routine which literally is to read my devotional book, pray and make my bed. Then I went to the kitchen and made my celery juice and of course, I drank it. I felt super energized during my flow which I did right after I finished the juice. After that, there was not big changes for that day.

Day 2-3, I woke up, did my morning which now includes celery juice! Again, I felt very energized and did a 10 minutes flow then a 15 minutes light cardio. I felt pretty great and light throughout the day. It definitely cleansed me.

Day 4-7, of course, I started my day with my morning routine, I had my delicious juice and went on with my day. One thing that I noticed was that I was less bloated than usually. I also felt super light, because like I said previously, it cleansed me; it was just like a detoxing week. Another thing that I noticed was that my face was super clear. No acne, no pimples which was so surprising especially because during this particular time of the month, I always have pimples.

Result…

The biggest changes that I’ve experienced after a whole week of drinking celery juice are : 1) My face was clear, clean, soft with no pimples/acne whatsoever; 2) I was less bloated than usually. I really wish that I took a before picture of my face because you could have actually tell the difference (Most of my before pictures all have Snapchat filters on them haha). Although, if you follow me on my social medias, especially snapchat, you’ve probably seen my #freshface snaps and how I took you along the journey. It was also easier to make healthier choices throughout the day because I guess I started the day with a healthy drink and I just wanted to keep it going! For instance, instead of ordering Chinese on Friday night, I made this veggie pasta bowl, which was, OMG, so delicious (Recipe coming soon)! I felt energized after each drink which was a plus because I didn’t feel like I needed coffee to get through my days.

In conclusion, I’ll probably keep drinking celery juice, maybe not every single day… I’ve seen the before and after pictures, also read testimonies of so many people who’ve been drinking celery juice to know that it works wonders. I’ve gotten a couple of my friends on it too and they seem to really like it so far.

      Hi! Thank you! I sincerely appreciate it!
      There has been no science behind it, however, a lot of people have claimed to experience weight loss while drinking it. If you are consistent drinking it while working out and such, you’ll probably notice weight loss.

      I still eat all my meals! I usually drink it first thing in the morning and wait about 30 mins or so till I have breakfast or brunch! You need to try it girl!!!
