The perfect matcha latte does exist, trust me! I have recently switched to matcha latte instead of coffee for my morning sip; Let me tell you, it is one of the best decisions that I have made during this pandemic. I have talked about my love for matcha latte on here before, so if you haven’t yet, check out My Love For Match Latte post after you read this one! Matcha has so many great health benefits! It always gives me so much energy, however in a calm “get your ish together” way! Does that make sense? Well I hope it does! Today, I am sharing with you my perfect matcha latte routine, and of course my matcha latte recipe because you need it in your life!
The whole process of making the perfect matcha latte traditionally is so calming and peaceful. I’ve never realized that until I stumbled unto Anh Luu’s YouTube channel Girl and The Word . I highly recommend her channel if you haven’t checked it out yet! She has the most peaceful, cozy, positive and God-centered channel on YouTube and it’s the best thing to me.
Back to our topic! I like making my matcha latte in the morning after my devotional. I make it traditionally by using a small ceramic bowl and a bamboo whisk. To start I scoop the matcha and I swift it to avoid clumping. Then I add some heated water and start whisking until it is well mixed. Next, I add some honey for taste, you can use your favorite sweetener. Lastly, I pour some frothed milk in the matcha bowl and sip my perfect matcha latte peacefully.
To sip my perfect matcha latte, I usually sit by a window to just be present, in the moment. This started as soon as I started making the matcha, it just carried out into the sipping moment. I always make sure that I take my time with the process and enjoy every second of it. While sipping my matcha, I always try to reflect on life and give thanks to God for who He is and what He has done, is doing and will do in my life!

The Perfect Matcha Latte
The perfect matcha latte does exist, trust me! This perfect match latte is so easy to make! The whole process is calming which is so rewarding. Drinking the latte give you so much energy, focus and calmness. You need to try matcha if you haven't yet!
- 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
- 2 oz Hot water (You can add more if you want a lighter tastes)
- 1 tbsp Honey (Add less or more depending on sweeteness preference)
- 1 cup Hot Milk
Start by heating up separetely the water and the milk.
Then, sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into your matcha bowl or mug. This will prevent clumps.
Pour about 2oz of heated water into the bowl.
Grab your bamboo whisk to mix the matcha.
Add honey or your choice of sweetner, then whisk some more.
Use an electric frother to froth your heated milk.
Then tilt your matcha bowl and pour milk into the mixture!
Lastly, sit still and take your time to sip your perfect matcha latte!
For this recipe, I am using ceremonial grades matcha! If you are wondering what ceremonial grades is, it is one of the two types of matcha. The ceremonial grades are mostly used for teas and lattes. They are darker in color and are more expensive than the second type of matcha, which is the culinary grades. the culinary grades are mostly used for baking and are lighter in color.
